Small Garden Originally this garden was almost completely paved with concrete slabs in straight rows. The new owners wanted something more interesting and softer with, hopefully, a lawn. There being a definite budget on this project, consideration had to be given to choice of any new materials; and removal costs of existing materials. The chosen plan, removed some of the slab steps, to create a more interesting shape and an enlarged planting area. A new diagonal seating area was constructed in a corner which catches the evening sun, and the inclusion of a lawn was achieved. A sloping site; retaining 'sleepers' making a successful barrier.
